Student Interns Help Deconstruct, Preserve Historic Byers School

As part of the 2012 Bond renovations at the historic Byers School, Denver Public Schools partnered with the National Center for Craftsmanship (NCC) to create a unique, hands-on learning opportunity for high school students interested in the field of construction.

Construction management students in DPS gained valuable, on-the-job experience by helping with the initial deconstruction of Byers Middle School.

The school’s renovation wrapped up in August 2015, and is funded by the 2012 Bond.
